It had to be you: You allowed me to experience forgiveness by creating a situation in which I needed to forgive you and to forgive myself. For that, I thank you.
It had to be you: You brought such joy to my life and opened my eyes to new adventures and journeys that I might have missed out on if not for you. For that, I thank you.
It had to be you: You are the purest example of LOVE of self, LOVE of others, and LOVE of life. For that, I thank you.
I invite each of you to look at all of your relationships in your life and see the key roles they play. Each person whether it’s a LOVING relationship or someone you are at odds with (or perhaps choose to hate) is part of your life to allow you to live, LOVE, and grow.
Moving forward, I invite you to see the importance of all your relationships by seeing through the eyes of:
Forgiveness: When you are able to see with forgiving eyes, you move through conflict, hurt feelings, and resentment while inviting in a state of peace and allowing. Remember, forgiveness isn't about forgetting and pretending it didn't happen; it is about not allowing it to run your life from a hurt heart.
Appreciation: When you are able to appreciate everyone in your life for who they are and not who you want them to be, your relationships become gentle and relaxing.
Acceptance: People are who they are and although we'd LOVE to change them, change comes from within. Even if they are people you LOVE if they are toxic... LOVE them from afar. LOVE anyway and then choose who you share your time, energy, and heart with. You get to set those boundaries whether it's less interaction or no interaction.
LOVE: When you see through the eyes of LOVE and can look into a person’s heart rather than their hurt, life becomes a fun playground that is filled with people and events that you couldn’t have dreamed of had you not chosen to look at life through LOVING eyes.
Mostly, my wish for you is to see all of your relationships as part of your journey in becoming who you are today. Whether it was a LOVING experience or a contrasting experience, you grew with it, learned from it, laughed at it, and continued to LOVE because of it or regardless of it.
Until next time, thank you for being YOU!
I am surrounded by LOVING relationships.
