lead by example

One of my favorite sayings is “Lead by Example” and that is one of Positive Focus’ founding principles for all involved to be examples of what having a positive focus means. I say it all the time that being positive doesn’t mean that life is always rosy and cheery but that it does mean focusing on the light in the darkness as positivity heightens celebrations and lessens sorrow. Leading by example to me meant me shining my light and inspiring and allowing others to shine theirs.

Shining comes easily to me as I truly love my life, even though it isn’t ideal right now, I know ideal is possible and even probable. Reminding people of their own light and importance in this world is what I LOVE to do. Encouraging people to be gentle with themselves during their struggles as it brings them to the others side of strife so much quicker – yes please, sign me up for that. That comes easily to me to remind people of their light and their importance in this world. Uplifting and inspiring others is what I eat, breathe, and sleep as that is my passion and purpose this lifetime.

Recently, I have felt as though I’ve been letting positivity down during some of my own personal struggles. How can I lead by example while in the midst of a struggle myself?  Then a new question came to me. What better time than now to lead? Rather than standing on the other side of challenge and calling to you, I’m here in the muck saying you too can do it.  The ‘story’ of my current struggle isn’t important as it is similar to any struggle any of you have faced – letting fear take a bigger role in your day than love. I’ve always been a need to know girl, and although in my heart of hearts I know this current struggle won’t last long and will resolve itself for my highest good, right now I WANT TO KNOW HOW AND WHEN. Now if I were asking how and when with excitement, I’d be coming from love. I have found myself asking how and when from frustration which is coming from fear. I’m much closer to the excitement phase of this personal struggle, yet I felt I should share with you in the midst of it rather than on the other side where I not only know it will all be fine – I SEE that it is. I will lead by example through this experience knowing life is beautifully messy, imperfectly perfect, and filled with endless opportunities to uncover feelings of unworthiness and pour more love in.

For the next week I invite you to be the leader of your life by:

Loving yourself unabashedly, your perceived strengths and weaknesses as there is only one of you in the world.

Knowing all is well as even during tumultuous times, life continues to show up and provide gifts to be uncovered.

Mostly, my wish is for you to practice being kind to yourself in thoughts, words, and actions as the kinder you are to you, the kinder you are to others. You matter to me, you matter to others, and most importantly, you matter to YOU.

Until next time, thanks for being a shining example of living
