Can You Answer This Question For Me?

ball-605592_1920I have a question for you. Who are you? I’m not looking for how old are you, or for you to describe what you physically look like, or even what you do for a living; I am asking who are you, who are you at your core? Who are you when you are celebrating life as everything is working out exactly as you had hoped for even better than you expected? Who are you on those days when seemingly nothing is going your way and you don’t know where to turn next? Who are you when you turn off the light and are closing down your day? Who are you when your eyes open for the first time in the morning?

When you think about it, you are the only one who is going to be in every single moment of your life, the good moments, the great moments, the loving moments, the hopeful moments, the scary moments, the sad moments, the disappointing moments and each moment in between. So ask yourself “who am I in my moments?” In your good, great and loving moments I imagine you consider yourself happy, joyful, loving and rocking life. In your scary, sad and disappointing moments I imagine you consider yourself as unworthy, unlucky and not sure what to do next. I know I deal with unworthiness feelings from time to time. I encourage you to celebrate YOU in each and every moment of life. Celebrate those moments filled with great joy, love and laughter. Celebrate you during the moments that show you examples of what you don’t want as they truly are there to help you clarify your desires and are not there to punish them. Show up in each moment as your biggest ally, cheerleader and best friend knowing that the more you choose to show up in each moment with grace, ease and love your celebrations will be heightened and your sorrows lessened.

Moving forward, I encourage you to show up in each moment as your best self by:

Asking yourself how is this _____ experience (insert whatever you are dealing with in this moment) bringing more love into my life. That is an easier question when things are going well, but know that even your challenges are providing you an opportunity to deepen your love of life.

Creating a powerful I AM mantra to shout out loud when life is beautiful and fall back on when life is showing up as a challenge. I am loved and loving. I am peaceful. I am kind and caring. I am worthy. I am enough. I am in the process of loving myself fully. I am in the process of seeing the best in me and in others.

Appreciating each and every moment for each one is there to serve you not hinder you. The more you appreciate celebrations the more love is added to your life. The more you are able to appreciate your challenges the easier it is to let them go.

Being courageous in your moments of celebration and your moments of struggle. Be courageous to be YOU full out regardless of what is going on around you. Be courageous knowing you deserve to live the best version of you – each and every moment of your life.

Mostly my wish for you is that every time you say I AM it is filled with kind, caring, loving and compassionate words as you are 1 in over 7 billion people and the world is a better place with you in it.

Until next time, I am grateful.

Affirmation:

I AM all that is needed to live a life filled with deeper love, laughter and happiness.

Words to Live by:

“Did I offer peace today? Did I bring a smile to someone’s face? Did I say words of healing? Did I let go of my anger and resentment? Did I forgive? Did I love? These are the real questions. I must trust that the little bit of love that I sow now will bear many fruits, here in this world and the life to come.”

~ Henry Nouwen

“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.” ~ Albert Einstein
