What do you see when you look? I mean really look. When you focus in and truly look at what is in front of you. Do you see beauty? Or do you see a beast? Do you see the grace and elegance of a rose? Or are you concentrating on the thorn that might prick you if you get too close? Do you see the rainbow? Or are you giving your attention to the storm clouds? Do you see prisms of reflection from broken glass? Or do you see the broken glass as an eye sore that needs to be swept away. Do you see the opportunity in the challenge in front of you? Or do you see ‘here we go again’?
I’m sure you’ve heard the expression – what you see is what you get – so pay attention to what you see. Choose to see the beauty rather than the beast. If you see the beast, close your eyes, breathe deeply and release those fears and challenges and refocus on the beauty in your life. Everything before you can be seen from a vantage point of beauty, just open your eyes, and refocus.
Moving forward, I invite you to see the beauty in and around you by focusing on:
Gratitude: Truly being grateful for each experience in your life as a gift.
Love: Live from a space of love and when you need guidance; ask yourself what love would do.
Positivity: Look for the positive everywhere. Talk about your positive experiences. Share optimism, hopefulness, and love with those around you.
Shifting: As you exercise your positive muscle, you will come across those who choose to focus on the negative experiences in their lives. Change the conversation, excuse yourself from that conversation, and shift yourself back into a space of gratitude. Allow them to be who they are, but choose not to participate for yourself as you are reaching for a higher thought of empowerment and goodness.
Mostly, I invite you to see all the beauty around you from the dew in the morning, to the stars at night. See the rain nourishing the flowers rather than dampening your day. See positive changes to help the environment rather than concentrating on the destruction of environment. And absolutely see the beauty within yourself as loving, warm, kind, and a person who chooses to live their highest good.
Until next week, I see the beauty in you!
I am comfortable in my own skin and let my inner beauty shine through.
