Today is International Peace Day. This day was founded by the United Nations in 2015 as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.
As we move forward in creating a peaceful world, know it starts with each of us choosing peace in our own lives. It requires us to choose peace of mind and peace of heart during triumph and during tragedy. Being peaceful does not mean ignoring injustice. It does mean meeting injustice head on with kindness, compassion, love, and peace for if what we seek is peace, then we should be peaceful. Below, are some of my favorite peace quotes for you to read. I hope you read each one slowly and ask yourself how you can be LOVE in action in peaceful ways. As we live inner peace, we will find our outer reality begins to be more peaceful too.
